Overview of the WordPress Dashboard
The WordPress dashboard is a collection of widgets, menus, and settings that allow you to manage your website. When you first log in, you will see a default dashboard that includes various modules such as ‘At a Glance’, ‘Activity’, ‘Quick Draft’, and more.
1. At a Glance
The ‘At a Glance’ widget provides you with a quick overview of your website’s current status. It displays the number of published posts, pages, and comments, as well as the current version of WordPress that you are using.
2. Activity
The ‘Activity’ widget displays a log of recent activity on your website, such as new comments, posts, and pages. This can be a helpful tool for monitoring your website’s activity and ensuring that everything is running smoothly.
3. Quick Draft
The ‘Quick Draft’ widget allows you to quickly create a new post without leaving the dashboard. Simply enter a title and some content, and click on the ‘Save Draft’ button.
